Where we get NFZ waiting time data from

All waiting times on this site come from the public API of the National Health Fund, “Treatment waiting times”. The NFZ collects from facilities the number of people in the queue and the rate of admissions, and then calculates the forecast waiting time for a service. We download this data every night, convert it into an approximate date and arrange it so that it can be compared between facilities. The latest state of the waiting lists reported by the NFZ comes from 22.10.2026.

We cover 50 013 facilities with an NFZ contract. Waiting lists: 147 838. Types of services: 476. From specialist clinics and imaging tests, through procedures and operations, to rehabilitation, dentistry and psychiatric care. We supplement facility pages with data from the Register of Entities Performing Medical Activity, the guide to NFZ contracts, the register of night and holiday care points, and the reporting datasets published on dane.gov.pl: quality indicators, procedure counts, hospitalisations and the value of settled services.

Three things worth remembering. The NFZ forecast is the payer’s estimate, not a booking — the date is confirmed only by the facility’s reception. Zero waiting time means nobody is ahead of you in the queue, not that you will be seen the same day. The data is only as current as the reports facilities send to the NFZ, so discrepancies happen — if something does not match, report it on the facility page.
