What has changed in the waiting lists
Where things got faster in recent weeks, and where they got slower
A waiting list is not fixed. A facility that today sees you in a week may in a month have a date six months away, because one doctor has left. We record the forecasts every day so that we can show the direction of change, not only the state today.
The biggest changes in the last two weeks
Why this matters
If a waiting list is getting longer, every week of delay costs you twice: you wait longer and you start from a worse position. If it is getting shorter, it is worth checking again in a few days instead of giving up. That is exactly what the alert is for: we check every day and write to you only when something has really improved.
